Default Building up a 200 block

I am removing the bottom end from my 3dr and selling as a short motor so will not be scavenging any parts to build up my new 200 block. i have the pistons already that came with the block.

What i need to know is what:

Oil pump - 2wd or 4x4
Pickup - 2wd or 4x4
Water pump - 2wd or 4x4
dipstick tube - 2wd or 4x4
Crank pulley - 2wd or 4x4
Crank - 2wd or 4x4
Conrods - 2wd or 4x4

Any info appreciated and if i've missed anything

Also is a .25 crank ok to fit in an engine that could possibly run up to 500bhp

Cheers

Chris.

Hi there,
Oil pump is worth going 4x4 but not essential
Water pump 4x4
dipstick and tube 2wd
Crank and pulley doesnt matter
Conrods dont matter
And a .25 crank will be fine..

cheers danny

Danny if i go for a 4x4 pump will have to get the 4x4 pickup??

Also will this lot go on without modifying the 2wd sump?

If you use the 4x4 water pump do you have to use the 4x4 therm housing?

Cheers Chris.

there is a way around the pick up but cant remember i will ask luke..

The 4x4 water pump doesnt mean you will need the 4x4 stat but its a better stat anyway so you may aswell if youve got one...

cheers danny

I won't be removing until the winter mate, i don't actually know the spec other than it was rebuilt 2900 miles ago using standard Ford bearings, Grp A head gasket etc and has produced good power and continues to be noise free.

I'm really only wanting a std late 4x4 crank due to the power but with the car coming off the road for a few years i'm no rush.

Brammer,
Im not 100% but i think because your block has 10 long studs you will need to modify whatever water pump you intend to fit.

Gaz i think something has been done your right as their is a dowel type thing that goes somewhere round there - i can get hold of the water pump if need be. I'll check this afternoon cheers for that info mate

Shaun again i will remove and check everything is fine and then i might be able to get more info from it, pistons etc but it won't be until winter.
