Default handbreak light

hello people
my hand break light dont seem to work on my s2
ive took the abs out but linked the wire up so it makes the circuit
and ive checked the bulb in the clocks
so could it be a dodgy wire from the handbreak to the clocks? or could it be the sender?
many thanks

happened to me aswell..turned out to be the rubber plug on the fluid resevoir. the connections inside had corroded

edit to say i used a plug and cap off a later escort..they are plastic clip on type betterthan the rubber type
