finally decided to do a thread on the escort! i know its not cossied but hey.

Bought her for £50 from a lady in my local town, had had since new.
The car had done 58k when i bought her and got given complete service history down to the original purchase order and receipt for the car.

She looked like this when i got her:
Fairly tidy a few scabbie bits but nothing major.


Handling like a boat, she needed slamming,
So a trip to rally design was needed.
A single box exhaust, -180lb springs and some lowering blocks improved it slightly,


After blowing the original 58k engine up, i decided to put in a 1700 crossflow, and have some body work done too!










Custom front bumpers


Due to lack of money and other issues, the mk2 got neglected for a while

However,
Last night was spent servicing the twin DHLA 40's that are going on, along with:
Bilstein Coilovers
Capri 2lt rad
Anti dive kit
Full set of poly bushes
4 point harnesses
Halogen lights

will all arrive on monday, so by next weekend the car will be completely different to drive!

Next cosmetic change, new wheels

will update next week!

 

Looks like a bloody good car mate! i hope you didn't suggest that price to her though as thats well well below odds! get the original front bumper back on and some superlites and it will look the billy balls

i said to her what did she want for it and she said £50 so gave her all the money i had on me which was about 65 quid and she even gave the money to charity!

Its not either, the cossie is a joke as its a rocker cover to protect my engine
