firstly this is not a for sale post, just looking for a bit of guidance - dont even have the car yet!
mate of mine has spent a small fortune on a mk4 cab and has run out of patience with it, tried to sell it and didnt make what he wanted, told him to break it but he cant be bothered so told me to make him an offer. I'm considering buyin it to break cos there's a few bits i'd keep, but not sure on prices as i've only broken standard ones so lookin for a bit of help to see what i'd get, to see if its worth my while.
its running a 1600 cvh with uprated bottom end (need to find out exactly whats been done) with Cossie management, its got a 2wd Cossie inlet modified to fit CVH head, uprated turbo (again need to check) and owner spent a fair whack gettin Jano at Oddkidd to fettle the ecu and supply some other parts that were needed. All the sensors are brand new and owner also just spent a small fortune on a brand new engine loom as well.
Its also got RST box, GRS cooler, full mongoose, 90 spec interior, 2 x sets of 17s, cossie brakes etc plus the shell is very tidy, which is bound to be worth about £400?
Any input welcome.

so far I have made just under £600 from my mk4 convertible with escort turbo running gear. I still have the shell, roof and other parts to advertise, so I may make another £3-400 with what is left to go.
I guess it all depends on how much you are getting the whole car for and what prices you are going to charge.
when deciding on prices, i made up a spreadsheet with all the bits listed on it and also had a look at other peoples parts for sale to get an idea on prices to charge. I have tried to price mine at a level that is not too cheap, but at the same time not too expensive that would discourage buyers

the little list you made of s2 box £150-200 if in good order, grs cooler 150-175, mongoose 75-125, sets of 17's depends what they are how good tyres are condition etc, 90 spec interior if good £100-150, cossie brakes again depends on condition but imo anything between £75-200 all this is just my opinion and from looking on ebay for many many months lol

cheers for this.
does £1k for the engine and box sound reasonable? complete with all cossie management, inlet, turbo etc - its just this would prob where the most money is, and would rather sell as one if possible.
