Default Fast ford mag

Ignoring the fact that it was stuffed full of stupid scratch cards and ads, was there supposed to be stickers with it?

Edit: and that bodykitted ka in your cars? It 2010 guys I bought a ka with the EXACT same spec as that 2 years ago for 100quid why waste mag space with it?

You sure you are talking about the right mag

And pics of your ka or it didn't happen

Yes there were stickers with mine, the kids stuck them to everyconcicable surface on which they would be most difficult to remove too, the little darlings

It was my third ka bought it for the gearbox and few other bits, it was a ex show car for total auto, looked like a turd the only difference to the one in ff is that mine had silver 17"s, bucket seats and a fiber glassed dash and doors with a big shit sound system

I left my stickers on the side in Asda as i didn't have the need for them

Also you have to remember that not everyone has a 600bhp track prep'd car thats got parts valuing a mortgage inside - we all started somewhere, i once had a mk1 Orion Ghia i payed Ł17.90 for plus some people apparently actually like the Ford Ka

Oi I love ka's I had 3 of them my point was that why would you put a 90's spec halfords magnet ka in the mag? Look at all the projects on here why not put them in instead?

i think its good to have a range of different types of ford cars gets a bit boring that every feature car has to be 1000 bhp

I'm not saying it should be full of 1000bhp cars that you would have to remorgage the house to build but it shouldn't be full of sheds either
I'd like to see more stuff done that I havnt seen before, when the last time ff featured a car with a standard engine? We should be able to look in the mag and see fresh new ideas the mag should be pushing the scene forward instead of being a broken record.
Just look at the way the vw scene has developed in the last few years because they were brave enough to try something new.

i agree, some dub inspiration is needed in ford mags, they also have that bit with cars (and bikes sometimes) from all over the world, all makes and models for little ideas plently of fords to hotrods to bmw's, absolutely everything

makes it nice to see something different, ive stopped buying fastford now unless theres something in it i really like, or a nice freebee haha. theres about 3 or 4 different ones i get now depending on whats in them

The best of the net section? Yea I love that bit.
I'm not a fan of vee dubs in the slightest but most of my mates are, if there's a pvw lying about i will alway read it because it such a well put together mag, well worth Ł4.something and they never have to give anything away to try and sell it
i've been buying ff for many years and will continue to do so but I hope they start to move it on abit for everyones sake

We can only put in what people send in! I'd love to fill it full of fresh ideas, but if there aren't many out there it's not our fault. It's much easier to get a feature if your car's got something innovative, or unique for that very reason.

There are some great projects on here, but if they aren't sent in we can't just rip them off the site.

Agreed that Ka was rather borderline, but it's not often we get a Ka sent in, so we used it.

We're also trying to 'move it on' by featuring more new school stuff... But then the old school fans complain...

As the saying goes - you can't please all the people all the time!

I'm not in anyway bashing the mag Dan, I'm just saying with a few small tweeks it could really get the ball rolling, mad idea; how about I find something different/fresh and do a review, email it to you if you don't like it bin it. if you do, post a mini feature up here and
gauge interest and see where it goes

I love fastford and performance ford mags, get them every month without fail. As dan says if the fresh ideas arent out there they can't be featured, its not the mags fault if anything its the forums fault. Anytime on here people try something new (to the ford world) i.e euro styling, they get slated to fook about it. It does seem nowadays that people arent as daring/willing to try something new.

When you realise some of the constraints we're up against, you'll find coming up with suitable features is more difficult than it sounds.

If it's a one-off type feature that's cool, but if it's a series you have to be VERY sure you can do it every month - otherwise you'll end up with situations such as how a certain mag wastes two pages every month explaining why they can't run the 'Beat the Dwarf' feature.
