Does anyone know of a paint suppliers that can match paint by scanning in the Essex area,

I have a flint grey 89 saph and when I gave the code to a local shop, they produced a spray can for me, however the colour is lighter than the original grey.

ur never in this world get it to match out of a can mate ,and a no no on edge to edge

And to state the obvious the paint on your Saph is 21 years old (same as mine) so its doubtfull its going to match out of a can, I was spraying my front bumper last week and it was a mile out so taking it to a bodyshop to do it properly.

 

I saw a match from Morellis 'Pro Logic' scanner (or some such name) and Stevie Wonder could tell it was wrong
Can't beat a keen eye and experience for matching IMO

The painter will help hide any difference with his own skills too

 

Rattle can on a saph,unnacceptable !!!but seriously,you'd need to take the car over to get a colour match your happy with and even then that's a gamble but as dingla says you just can't to edgeto edge on cars of that age,it's a gamble on nonmetallic new stuff!!take it to a good sprayers by you mate.

 

where abouts in essex mate?, in rainham there is a company called d&a finishers who will colour match for you and they can mix it up in a can for you or a tin, in romford cca iirc will do it for you, they are down mawney road just after the pub
