should there be inserts in the chassis rails on 3dr for bumper to sit in?

what should be in the chassis rails at the front of the 3doors were the bracket of the bumper goes into. im sure ive seen a plastic bit in there.?

any pics or what shouldbe there

Pretty sure theres a plastic/rubber reducer type affair that good in.

no my 3dr does'nt have them just bolt through the chassis rail
and my old 500 was the same.

i think is was just the saphs that had them, could be wrong?

So far as I know all MK1s just bolt into the rails, but on Mk2 they slide into big rubber inserts, and the bolts are on the side and go through the wings (which makes the bumper stealable, but I guess that's progress!)

duno if this piks any use to you, just a standard 3 door not cosworth, there was no rubber bits when i took the original standard bumper off
