trying to get some info on my fez, like a few ka's iv read about it has no silver vin plate so i have no codes for paint, can any body get this info with a vin number? thanks

 

depending on year will be on a black sticker if its new , 6th one down if its old will say code across the bottom on a silver plate , new mk6 is in the door shut , mk5/4/3 are under the bonnit ( havnt done a mk2 or 1 so cant say on them)
if not post a pick sure most will be able to tell u the colour

 

most good bodyshops could mix the paint or identify it for you hope this helps

 

luke it has nothing under the bay to look at lol, is a mk5 nothing of any relevance round the entire car only visible vin to see, cheers turbochild but more trying to find out why its the wrong colour lol

 

umm iv got 3 mk5s out side one sec ill check were mine is to be 100 , what colour is it now?

should be imperial as its a zs but its not lol its light blue, just spoke to my ford tech mate and its not the correct colour, owell dont care it was cheap lool, you breaking any of them 3?

Phone dealers with reg/ vin and they'll tell you the colour code.

If it's had a new front panel then someone may have lost the vin when changing it,no other explanation really!!!

Fire the vin number into etis/ecat/parts computer and itll tell you.

Wankers mate. Told me to look on the vin plate, but 2 of the codes came up as paint codes (imp blue has about 10 different shades...), told me I could buy a 125ml spray can off them for £15! Told them to stuff that, ended up going through the whole pc at work until I found the right one, got it now though

 

Glad you sorted it fella,always thought there was only one type of imp blue,well,I've only ever got one mixed!!!will keep my eye on that!!

 

yea, they painted the fiesta zs in it, mk1 focus rs, i believe the mondy st, and each was a different shade, I know, some pricks touched up my bonnet with FRS imp blue (before I owned it) and it's a bit more purple.
