Has anyone got any pictures of the brackets needed to run a 4 pot caliper and a spot caliper on a cosworth at all?
I am looking at doing this as I have a fully refurbished set of 4 pots which I can use.
Any pics would be great.

Cheers

only person i know running this setup is duncoss mate ,
i dropped him a pm on the subject and didnt seem to get any joy ,
i know reyland run a 4 pot setup with the standard next to it , but for me the o.e caliper looks ugly ,
i know cars like the mrec amg's run a 4 pot rear caliper but not sure on the mechanical handbrake setup on them ?

Those spot calipers are useless, we use the original 4x4 rear caliper for handbrake function. As Beefy mentioned they aren't the best looking but they do work!

im sure duncoos siad in a recent thread i posted that they adjusted the cable or the hydraulic bias so the main caliper stopped the car during the mot to aid like a cheekey pass as the spot caliper aint that good , or someone did lol ,
think its more the asthetics folk want , as realistically the standard 4x4 vented setup should be more than up to the job ?

well yeah true i suppose ,
but if thats the case and it was a dedicated track car , in theory you wouldnt even mess about with a mechanical handbrake setup would you mart ?

Sometimes I feel that after some heavy brakings with 3 digit speeds the rear just isn't as it was before, seems to let go a bit and also I 've noticed that rear disks and pads are wearing a bit more rappidlly than the front ones so that tells me that they are overworking... (AP330mm with 4pot calipers on the front by the way). I have found somewhere 4pot calipers with mechanical handbrake mechanism but I don't remember the brand now...

I aint too bothered about the look of it to be honest, what sort of price would I be looking at for some brackets to be made up?
will that be a hush hush setup mart ,
or will it be going into production , does it still comply to being road legal ?

wilwood and hispec both do 4pot calipers that have the mechanical handbrake section in them
wilwood range also has a single piston caliper like the original sierra rear caliper that looks like a 4pot caliper as well
surely if the rears are working that hard, the bias is wrong or the fronts arent working as they should? maybe differing pad materials front to back?

Mechanical
It will be for sale once finalised and parts are manufactured.

Geoffs calipers are ok, his discs can be a bit hit and miss, but the calipers are spot on, I know someone using them on a very tuned quatrro, who's very happy with them, I've known geoff years and quality has improved esp very recently, but his calipers have always been ok, he's got rid of the monkeys who were working for him.

and as for the 4x4 rear being no good for track then I will disagree, my race car stops very very well on it's std cos 4x4 set up with dS3000 pads, yes given more of a budget I would have ap's all round but I haven't got a budget so can't lol
only twice so far has a car outbraked me that I was racing along side (was a rover 200 and a 2009 clio cup car)
even had a honda teg owner asked my what brakes I had as he couldn't stay with me in the braking zone and his car is a lot lighter than mine!
