I've just got an XR3i on a D reg. and was just wondering if there was many made as my mate reckons they're rare. I haven't got a clue tbh and just got it cos it was cheap!

Loads of them made on a D plate mate, probs rare now as there cant be that many left. Ive seen a few C reg mk4's.

 

Yeah was what I thought tbh. Probably rarer than RS's though!

 

My missus has got an xr3i, not bad cars really. Surprised there as cheap as they are though.

 

I suppose they are getting quite rare now as the d platers were famous for rust 15-20 years ago!!!!something to do with very poor quality steel iirc.

 

As others have said, they weren't rare when they were made, there were loads of them, but there aren't many left now in good nick. I've always loved these, I love the Mk3 even more, but find a good one of those now!

That looks a tidy one mate. I had an E reg one identical to that yonks ago, it was a great little car.

 

Ive had 2 XR3i,s now they were both good cars.I bet there isnt many left now.
