Now I have brought a lot of stuff from these people over the past few years but was gobsmacked when I just phoned them to order some fans for my FMIC. They want £7.50 for a set of 4 of the fixing ties so another £15 for ties to hold the fans in place are they having a laugh?

I don't know if I see your point? Surely they are just giving the option to have them or not? £7.50 doesn't sound that bad to me.

Went to see them yesterday, top bunch of fellas and really helpful. Yes you can by zip ties cheaper but they might not last under the engine heat. Have you asked what special about them? dont see a problem with it really.

they are made to fit through the fins on the intercooler as zip ties wont fit through without butchering the intercooler or rad fins

I wonder if the OP's point is that they want to charge extra for the fixings? Surely some people want them and some don't. It's probably more likely that the fan has been priced taking into account there being no fixings in the kit, but you pay a small extra price if you want them. Just seems totally fine to me.

Can you get them the same quality, elsewhere, cheaper? Probably not, so get your hand in your pocket and pay up

My point is not the price of the ties but the fact that I think they should be supplied with the fans its like buying a FMIC and then having to pay extra for the mounts to hold it in place.

The point I was trying to make is that not everyone wants to use those mounts. They could add £7.50 to the price and include the mounts, but they are giving you the choice.
