Default computer people

ive just bought a new laptop as my old one had seen better days, still function well but had busted screen and fooked keyboard,

now my old laptop was fitted with an intel dual core processor and my new laptop is fitted with an AMD sempron processor.
is it possible to swap the cpu's over?

ive read on various forums that older motherboards are able to support both intel and AMD but newer boards can only use one or the other.

can anyone give me any advice?

Check your mainboard documents !! check with the new laptop supplier !!
they will know your laptop details and advice accordingly,
your not giving any info as to board details etc etc!!

very unlikely to be honest

AMD processors and Intel processors use completely different socket types
