Default Sierra cvh to pinto

Hi ,
I owned an sierra 1.8 clx with a cvh engine.
After one year i decided to do a little project and replace the cvh with a 2.0 litre injection pinto engine.
The injection system will be removed for twin weber 40 carbs.

The question is:
Which parts i have replace to match the pinto 2.0ohc twin carbs Instead of the cvh 1.8 engine?

thanks

your gearbox should bolt up ok. Yot'll just need photo mounts and maybe a small adjustment to your wiring loom. Or a complete loom

I dont think for one second a CVH bellhousing is the same as a SOHC bellhousing. The hole of the exhaust system is wrong too. you will need SOHC T9 bellhousing, motor mounts, I think rad and exhaust, the starter should be the same if the CVH has it on the bottom left, my LHD had it on the right so that was wrong too. and as you say not alot of wiring though if you got carb's . the efi will love the carb's too .

What he ^^ said, CVH exhuast is on left hand side, Pintos being on the right hand side.

The CVH Sierra has management (ESC Hybrid), and will be have a Pierburg 2V carb or will have CFI if 1990 onwards, the management will be different to that of the EFI Pinto, but as you are going with carbs then you won't be requiring this anyway. You will just need to sort the ignition side out as this will be electronic.

You may have to swap them for the SOHC one's, but Im not sure on that, as I haven't done this my self. I will ask My matey who have give me a min or so and I will be back.

yes you will need the SOHC mounts but only the Ali part that comes off the side of the block and fits on to the bolt and rubber part. They are all ok to use 1.6 1.8 2.0 and cosworth 16v. so he said
