Default Driving Jobs.

Who on here has a job that involves driving??

What does it involve?? i.e. Skip driver, Taxi driver etc....

What sort of money are you on (just a ball park figure will be ok) and do you get any fringe benefits?

I'm seriously thinking about getting another job as i'm bored as hell in my current place.

I just dunno what to do tho...................

I work in the office for a tecnical courier company (i do all the drivers scheduling)

Our drivers all work on a self employed basic (have to pay there own tax/national security, provide there own van and pay fuel etc etc)

They only do low leval IT work (anybody with 1/2 a brain can do it) and full training is given before they start on there own.

For a 5day week they have a guanteed minimum of 600quid, the average engineer earns about 800ish per week for a 5day week. There are several engineers who earn over 1000 a week working a 1/2 day on a saturday aswell.

Even after they pay all there expenses + tax (as there self employed u can claim LOADS back) they earn a bloody good wage for what they do

Where abouts u live???? we have 6 depots around the place, can try and sort u a job if ur local to a depot

Look for all similar companies aswell

Business post
City link
Tech Express

all pay good money (good ish)

Also just look for local courier companys, payes usally quite good if you get lucky and find a 1/2 decent company, and if you agree to be on call sometimes etc etc you usally get a van you can use out of work hours aswell

All they do is basic IT stuff, eg

When you order your pc from argos you get a free home install, we do the installs

Contracts for on site warrenty's doing basic stuff, cd drive exchanges, HDD exchanges etc etc

All the IT for Abbey bank

We do all the tills for Tesco, Superdrug, and then basic scanners for Safeway, Asda and Burtons

Also do the new chip and pin pads for quite a few high street stores

We also offer a wide IT service, so do installs for small offices etc etc installing and networking pc's

52k is good, but they have to do about 1200miles per week on average, and start at 7am, usally finish about 2pm -> 5pm

I work for Coca Cola in East Kilbride filling up the vending machines.
Wage is £17600 pa with monthly/ quarterly bonus and overtime.
Work around 40 hours per week, dont have to buy ginger at lunchtime and get slightly cheaper stuff from the staff shop

Worked for a compant in Warrington that got bought out by Brakes, the perks went soon after, and so did I.

Private Hire taxi driver now. My own boss, my own hours, have earned over £1k in a week but did a fair few hours for it,
Depends on what you want in life as to hour many hours you put in with the taxi's.
