Default oil coming out of rocker gasket

my car seems to run rough on idle, now when i block the pipe that goes from the fuel metering unit to the top left of rocker it seems to run fine,

but what can i do, will it cause damage if i block it off?
or what is wrong with it to cause this, all help will help me out, thanks

You have an air leak. MFI runs under vacum, and its that pipe off the metering unit that controls the lot. some people block off the metering unit and vent to atmosphere from the rocker, or you could fix the airleak.

would that cure it?must be some sort of pressure to force out as its all over the back of the inlet and over spark plug no1 ht lead, but then it must have dripped on to my cam belt and its all sprayed on the inside of bonnet and over the drivers strut tops,

i only drove about 4 miles around country roads to my mums so i didnt give it abuse

You're not blocking the pipe out of the rocker cover as well are you? If so that will cause a build up of crank case pressure and blow oil out all over the place. You need to vent that pipe to atmosphere or back to the metering head....
