Default Formula 1 --Will it be better now with the new rules????

This season the teams will now spend the ENTIRE race on the tyres they qualified on.

AND

The engines now have to last 2 races

Jenson Button should do well as he is very consistent with his tyre wear

The new rules suck!

They should have like what it was a few years back. No stopping for fuel just tyres and do away with all the electronic devices. I can see theres going to be a few issues with the 2 race engines. Who the feck thought of that one?

I think its been porven that the reason the racing is so dull is because the cars depend so much on aerodynamics.

It is almost impossible to have two formula one cars racing close together (especailly on high speed circuits) as the car in front causes a hole to be created in the air meaning the car behind has no air pushing on the wings and there for no downforce.

Get rid of the aerodynamic dependancies of the cars and you will have close racing

Anything that helps Jenson out is sweet as far as I'm concerned and hopefully the new tyre rules will expose the "rag-it" drivers like Montoya and Barrichello...

Schumacher, unfortunately, is a master at looking after his car/tyres so I'm just expecting another boring redwash

The funny thing is your probably right. As much as I want to see some Brit boys on the podium and lifting the crown (we can live in hope, eh?) he'll probably do it again this year. Love him or hate him the man has talent and knows what to do to win I went off him years ago when he pushed Hill off the track ....

My predictions for this years F1

Get reay for the Ozzy race, get up at silly o clock to watch excitedly...

First lap- Schuy takes the lead.

Second lap hasn't crashed yet.

Third lap Go to bed.

8 months later Schuey wins title

The end.

lol use an engine for 2 races! Toyota are fucked then! there engine wont even last half a race!
rules seem a bit shit TBH.. i mean surely its just bloody dangerous making them race on one set of tyres for the whole race! they will be trundling round at about 100Mph to make the fuckers last a whole race!

A bit of info for you!

F1 cars in 1967:

There tyres where so hard that one set would last three race weekends!

I gave up on F1 ages ago.

It's going to be harsh on drivers who have engine failures in a race, as not only do they fail to finish the one race but i'm guessing the engine change will incurr a penalty meaning they start from the back of the grid at the next race

Bit harsh if so...

The only new rule that might give the others a chance is if they made Scumacher drive a Fiat Barchetta!!!
