Default Changing ST170 xenon bulbs?

how in the hell do you change the high beam bulb in the st170 xenon projector headlights?!

i can see there is a black pack on the top of it for the wiring, and there are two screws holding a metal bit down

do you have to undo the bolts in order to get the bulb out?!
basically, what needs doing to change the high beam bulb?

thanks

The black pack is ontop of the Dipped head light bulbs or the actual Xenon Bulbs, the Hi Beam bulbs are standard type bulbs. The Hi Beam bulbs are a fricking pain in the arse to change, i removed the headlight and completely removed the two screws to do it. Was a bit fiddly, its clear as mud once you can sit down and change them whilst sat on the sofa lol
Had the same thing with the Xenon bulbs at the weekend i fitted 8000K bulbs, i removed the whole headlight to change them as i could not figure out how it was done. Once i done one i realised there was no need to remove the headlight at all!!

so you HAVE to unscrew the two screws to change the high beam right?

also, just how blue are the 8000K bulbs?
i've been toying with the idea of getting some but not really sure

You can just losen the two screws but i found getting the metal bit back in after was a PITA. I like the 8000K bulbs, they are more white than blue but there is a big difference between these and the 4300ishK Standard versions. 10000K is definately too blue almost purple

found an easier way of getting to it

drill a hole so you can get a torx driver directly to it

sorted!
