Looking forward to this. Not booked on track yet as skint right now.
Anyone able to advise how many track passes (if any) are left?
Have had a lot of fun racing round Combe with Martin H, Danny with the Enhanced Performance Escort etc... over the years

Cheers Mark, I will do as soon as I can scrape more pennies together. Got a couple sets of 18s for the Evo I could manage without I guess.
Off to the MLR to get a sale advert going

< real tears. On the plus side Ryan, we didnt wince at all as the car broke away and french kissed the barrier

Cant believe its been 4 years now

Hopefully by next year i will have the white one up and running and attempt Avon Rise again.
Pete that was my first time out on Coombe - ask Ryan as I had several grass cutting moments due to not knowing which bend was next
I was doing 135 approaching Avon Rise and on my previous slower attempts the back end was kicking out everytime and I guess I just went in a little too quick.
Damage was not very bad and I continued for the rest of the day until I ran out of fuel and snapped two studs off the reaar wheel - quick call to AA and got a free ride home

i think the fact you came in waaaaaaaay to hot and paniced at the top of avon rise, touched the breaks as the rear end of the car was light and rear got way out of shape, and the rest as they say is history.
to be fair the engine "highlighted" some areas which need attention, and car would have been alot better if they were better, i.e brakes, suspension and gearbox.
the box was fecking me off something cronic, wasted like 5-10 seconds a lap just trying to get it into 3rd and forth.
either way was an awesome day and cant thank you enough for the use of the car.

no probs mate - yes the brakes, suspension and box were shit
in fact still got the box in my mates workshop in dire need of a rebuild. Had been trying to break it for years but it never broke
the new 3dr will handle a lot better than the last
Engine went well all day too and gotta say it was awesome - in the 4 years i had it we never had to open it up and it took some serious abuse

but its fair way off at the momentdefo went well above a 100 - was scary watching your speedo go up as quick as the rev counter

always gave the same amount of torque as bhp too

for me
