fitted a new turbo at the weekend took it for a drive and 15mins later the oil drain hose split in to i must have tightened up the jubilee clip to tight. have read not to use jubilee clips but i never knew as thats what was on it originally. has any one a spare dont want to spend 45 for a bit of hose. or can i use somtehing else? its just one thing after another with this car

FYI:

the clips that were on that pipe originally are the same that are on the breather hoses on the rocker cover, i.e green "pinch" clips. they expand slightly i think, well enough to stop the hose splitting anyway.

 

is it cool to use decent new jubilee clips though? i have a new roose silicone jobbie, but dnt wana kill it just yet!
