Well people I've just about had it... Seriously considering just selling my car and bits its STILL not together... Now that I'm working I just dont have time..and on weekends I'm always at a gig...

My mate who was meant to be helping me has exams so hes out of the question and I just realised that I still don't have all the parts that I need..

Gonna have to fork out some more money to basicly buy the entire fuel setup for my rs conversion

I just want my car on road so bad I wish I just brought a normal car

i brought a tdci mondeo every time i fill it i think omfg i just saved a extra 3 tanks to the cosworth and still only costing me about two months of running the cosworth to keep it over the year ! Ł350 to in =sure 120 road tax and 600miles a tank ! makes you think and still do a few spins in the cosworth !

 

mmmm i knowwwww sounds tempting but ive just put so much effort into it i dont think i have the heart to sell it.. especially after everything we have been thru..and i know i'll regret it if i sell my babyyy!!

i think today i just realised that with cars it atually is a bottomless pit!!

ive just spent all day in the garage just doing what i can!!

this conversion is gonna happen even if its the last thing i do.

 

keep going to it when youve got 5 mins spare will soon get done and then you can stand back look at what youve built and be happy that the car is exactly how you want it

 

and then another 5 minutes to enjoy driving it

 

forget five minutes if i spent a long time building an rs id move in until it broke down again would probably only need an overnight bag

Are you really desperate to get it finished mate.Just take your time with it and just do a bit at a time.

why do you need an entire fuel setup?

 

because the 1.3 setup that i got from the old engine is different to the cvh rs setup.. i thought i was ok but turns out i was mistakened

 

pity i could have given you nearly whole set up 2 weeks ago as all i did was scrap shell with all that attached.

 

stick with it mate im in exactly the same boat as you with my cossie i even had it up for sale on here yesterday but im keeping it now after talking to a few poeple on here ect im the same thoo got the money just need someone to help/show ect but hopefully wen its done ill forget about all the shit its put me threw lol

well my mate rebuilt my engine for me but hes got exams for another month so wont be able to help me..other fellow enthusiasts are more into the german scene where i live .. im like the only guy with a ford that i know so most of the people i know are pretty useless lol

ive asked another mate to help me out but he lives bout an hour from me and he works full time so its hard to find a day that we're both free..ive spoken 2 him and hopefully next weekend it'll get all done next weekend but the car wont get started untill i get the new fuel setup..

ive spoken 2 a member hes breaking his rs so im jus waitin for him to get back to me on his entire fuel setup and if everythings ok then will go and pick it up..

got alot of work done today aswell i just feel like just as i think things are progessing i realise something else needs doing and im back to square one!!

its something that only old ford owners understand lol.. for example tonight i took my rs turbo out for a drive and broke down 4 times.. even tho ive spent 4 grand on it.. to stay motivated all you need is fellow enthusiasts that also have old fords cuz people like parents.... other friends..... colleages...... just dont and never will understand

WE are feeling like that at the moment. Swapped our mk4 escort van for an rs convertible. seriously wish we hadnt now. My van was running perfect after changing it from diesel to 1.6 and we were told ithe rs only needed an alternator.......WRONG! Van bodywork wise was in good nick just needed respraying, but this car.....jesus....nothing i would like better then to get some petrol and a match! Money pit. Been ripped off on Ebay with parts, just been a constent battle. But we will get it on the road for summer even if i have to sell the dogs and the kids
