Default Where are speed sensor/de limiters fitted

i have a classic STI 3 impreza,,,,,, now ive looked after it for the last three years,,,,, never ragged it,,,,,, now i let a mate of mine drive it,,,,, i tell him to be gentle........ DOES HE LISTEN !!! well after ringing the arse out of my poor baby i now have no speedo working in the clocks or the powermeter and also have a check engine light on and wont rev past 4500rpm and wont boost more than 8psi

basically its in limp home mode, ive reset it,,,, it comes back on,,,, ive tried banging the top of the dash like you would in a shonky ford,,,,,, but still aint working,,,,, ive even spoke nice to it,,,,,, still aint playing ball !!!

does anyone know where the delimter/mph converters are located on imported cars and also where the speed sensor for the gearbox is as i have a speedo cable type thing,,,,, but the dash speedo and powermeter take a electronic feed as does the ecu also take a electronic feed so now im confused

MORAL OF THE STORY,,,,,, NEVER LET YOUR MATE DRIVE YOUR CAR PMSL

ok ill be honest,,,,,, my mate NEVER ragged the car at all,,, he changed gear at 3500rpm rather when it was comming to full boost and i was telling him to give it some,,,,, it never breaks,,,,,,,,, then the speedo stoped working and when i kicked him out and drove it a "little" more aggressive,,,,,, it went into limp home mode !!!
