Go-Karts for children info, anyone got there sons one?
My sons 5 now and loves anything cars so I was chatting to the Mrs about getting him a kart etc but haven't a clue where to start.
Do not want to invest thousands in karts, driving schools etc if he doesnt get that into it.
Anyone here have there child a go-kart?
I live in Birmingham also if theres places to go so my son can try it out?
Any info apreciated.

either one will be able to give him some time in one and see if he enjoys it. you could probably pick up a used gokart from there too, someone will know of one going surely.

start him off in a gixxer kart lol, he will soon be in F1
when my lad is a little older he will be getting a PW50, and if i can afford it, a kart of some sort too but round here will probably be an off roader if i can find somewhere we can take it

you can buy a bambino kart that you could use from the age of 5 you really need a cadet to race you have to be at least 8 for cadets but some tracks do allow younger ones on if they can prove they can drive safely,it also depends if the races are run to msa regs
my son is 9 and races a comer cadetin a local non msa sprint series, other cadet classes include honda cadets.
this is him and his school friends with his new kart a 2007 EKS with a comer w60 msa sealed engine

me acting as his race engineer and giving him some final advice before the final.......he came last lol

and this is a little off he had at his last race 2 weeks ago

little sod wasn't concentrating but did get striaght back on the gas!!

Minirotty: I've got a little one for my brother but most places you have to be at least 8
You can by all mean come and try ours but am not sure if he'll be able to reach the peddles?

That picture is at Priory Park in Tamworth but am sure the minimum age has to be 8, but its worth calling and speaking to Glen 01827 899800 and confirm that
I believe but could be wrong Birmingham Wheels do karting for little kids but no owner driver karting
Depends where you are in the country and worth ringing the local tracks
