My car dont start.just start when I put a spray to help started.does anyone know what can be?

Everthing happen after I change the fuel filter..
then I start the car and the car didnt start after a while I decide to use a spray to help to start.well did the job very well.
II went to work about 10 miles I parked the car,after 8 hours I finished work and the car the started I have to use the magic spray.

 

could have an air leak? if it's started since you've done the fuel filter.

 

as above its prob leaking back, recheck all connections etc

 

how to I check for air leaking?

 

you recheck everything you have disturbed

 

wash the first thng I did re-check and re-check the work i did but looks fine

 

is the drain on the base of the filter tight? is there any diesel leaks on the floor where you've been parked?

 

Had a similar problem with a later focus diesel I serviced, something to do with fuel pressure solved it by bump starting the car a few times at it was sorted

p.s you did prime it first right?

 

could be cam sensor playing up.black type early.grey type later type.it sits in middle of rocker cover.that could be causing lack of synch on engine

 

i have had this a few times and agree with what norubnodub said i just towed them off and they was fine after that

 

I did not prime I donnt know how to.
I went back to the car token the return pipe from the filter and I hear something like fff fff.
I pressume will be air in.
Now how to I take the air out?

 

Turn the ignition on till the lights go out on the dash and off again, repeat at least 20 times and then bump start it, that should sort it
