Just curious for if any of the Southerners are making the trip, if it's beyond Santa Pod they run scared claiming its too far

 

Our group is going over to Croft, we normally have a decent stand - not sure on numbers for this year but i don't think anyone is going to the Pod

 

I've NEVER been to Croft....

Sadly not this year.

Club I'm with wanted a stand but there seemed to be a lot of messing and confusing information and we weren't allowed to camp. As it's quite al ong journey for a lot of people, I don't think we're having much of a stand this year and I won't be going.

Disappointing as I really enjoyed last years show. Feel like the camping rules have punished the majority for something a few people did, which is a great shame to be honest!

 

Its cost us loads money in the past - with damage to croft and damage to cars.

Its a really tough one to police - free camping if your an rsoc member so join the club and get the benefits

I understand the difficulties Dingy, can't have been an easy decision, and the trouble caused is very dissappointing, you'd think people would know better.

From our point of view, we (FEOC-UK) are just dissappointed, as we're always very careful when camping, and make sure we keep things sensible and clean up before we leave etc etc. Croft is always a popular show for us as it is a good social event and the road trip up there is always enjoyable, but without camping, that's taken the fun out of it for us, so most people have pulled out, as it's a long run just to come for one day.

I hope things can be resolved, as I know we as a club enjoy attending this event. It's a great shame that the innocent are being punished for the actions of a few morons, but it's usually the way with these things. I would personally vouch for anyone attending with our club as they are a mature, level headed bunch and we never have any trouble at shows with our members, camping or otherwise.

Would be nice if we could attend next year as I know a lot of people are dissappointed that it's fallen through for us this year. Would be great to have it back on the calender for 2011.
