Escort Mk3 or 4 Cosworth inner wings.
Hi
Basically is it possible to use the original inner wings in the Escort MK3/4 for a Cosworth 4X4 project?
Seen a few conversions on the net and it seems 2wd can use them with some work and 4X4 use the Sierra front end.
Also what would be a good 4X4 base to use like the Xr4x4 say?

in short yes and no mate ,
if your planning to fit the cosworth front end i.e cossie inner wings and bulkhead then the rst wings will need a fillet putting in as the arc of the rst wing is steeper then the cossie one ,
if your going rwd and want to keep the rst front end , just weld in cradel mounts and a tunnel ,
check my resto on here, will give you an idea whats involved in the front end ,

Hi Beefy
I have seen your Cosworth conversion and read your topic more than once and it’s very nice.
Just looking into a 4x4 conversion without having to pull the front end off an Escort.
