Right here we go and about bloody time. I been meaning to get a thread going for this for a while now. Bought this red shell about 4yrs ago, done cossie management, lost my job so sold it all, built it all up to mfi again but everything refurbed then when all i needed to do was get it set up and mot'd i one day just went out to the garage, pulled it all apart again and decided to do efi cossie management again.
Here it was over the years....

then when i went to mfi again it ended up like this....

and how it looks now....

The old girl looking sorry for herself, this shell in theory hasnt seen the road since 2003

So, i started collecting parts again for cossie management. I have everything now apart from ecu (want a l8), the engine bay loom Ryan is making for me, just got to pay the rest of the money for it, a air filter, 3 bar map sensor and a pf09 tps. All the rest of it i have, inlet manifold is away at moment being modified.

Had various parts powdercoated, heres just a few of them

Everyone who like me is moving away from chrome has their engine bay parts done in satin black but i want to be a bit different so am going gloss black. Have started with the rocker cover, coil pack bracket, map sensor bracket etc, but also will have inlet manifold, charge carrier, header tank and swirl pot etc done the same shortly. It may look good, it may look crap, who knows till you try. Any opinions??
Didnt realise how bloody huge these things are lol, well the bracket anyway

Was bored the other day so painted my thermostat housing again

And my next job is to pull out the rs turbo wiring loom and put this loom in, a non injection 1.6 ghia loom, much less wiring and hasnt had boost gauges etc cut into it, until now lol

So thats about it for time being, i'll drag the car out again at the weekend to give it a wash and polish then will get some outside shots, this is it before i put the wolfrace voodoos on a few months ago

Thanks for looking, Mike

Hi Mike, good to see you got a thread going on here now, Looks lovely in red and with the bumpers smoothed.Looks like a good clean shell has it had much welding or pretty original? Think the bits done in gloss black will look good against the red bay also.Is always good to be a bit different than everyone to.Will be keeping an eye on this build

Cheers people.
Jamie- it underwent quite a big top body build about 4 years ago, having a new panel put into the roof, a new boot floor, new outer arches and outer sills and new front panel, then painted in 2pack and laquer. Unfortunately the underneath at the time was ok so they just stone chipped over but over the past years the rust has really broken out, a 2inch wide patch on the rear chassis rail, and when i was poking about too much one day i managed to make a hole in the lower inner wing part just behind the rear wheel on the drivers side where they all go so these are 2 arears im going to have to find someone to weld up for me. Would like to do the underneath completely but dont have the confidence in doing it myself, maybe once ive found someone to do my welding lol.

michael88- if you go onto oddkiddcreations.co.uk and onto the forum there it'll tell you everything you need plus alot of it can be supplied by them. Yeah the management works with the 1.6cvh, but you use all different manifold etc like a efi fiesta turbo inlet manifold. It'll tell you everything you need to know on that site.
Rob7656- yeah tell me about it, ive forgotten what it feels like to drive as escort turbo lol
