Hi, I'm a newbie to the board in terms of posting but have read a lot of good stufff on here!

Many will be familiar with the issue of the dash LCD display remaining lit after car is switched off and locked up, but having got the wife a 2007 1.6 zetec climate today hers seems to have remained lit for three hours so far and I wonder if it has anything to do with a radio/cd fault?

We found upon picking the car up that the cd won't work, won't accept a disk and says 'disk error' on switch on and when pressing certain buttons although radio is OK.

As the radio time is linked to the dash display, I am now wondering if this is just a radio/cd problem alone or if it is that and the dash which may be faulty.

Having bought the car from a non-ford dealer today, I do have a warranty I can claim on and so any guidance would be appreciated.
