I went out to ma S2 RST last nyt, turned the key, and.... nothing! No lights or fuk all. I charged the battery last week due to the same sort of thing. Then it started ok. And now its the same again.

The only thing i hav done in the past 2 weeks is fit new dials, as ma Fuel gauge and Temp gauge were goosed.

Any Ideas?

Often when a car-battery is fully discharged, it will be fucked. If you recharge it again then with some luck you can drive around for a couple of days and then it suddenly dies.

Off course you have to check if something is discharging the battery.

The fan is'nt staying on as this is whot was happening to my s1 not long ago
If you got a multie meter start the car turn all the light on and fans ect even stereo and see whot the voltage reads on the battery should be at least 12 vols and 13 to 14 volts when carging with nothing turn on ect

Hope this helps you sort the problem out

Get it going.... put a multimeter over ur battery terminals and it should show atleast 13 volts while the engine is running and nothing is on, if it doesnt its probably alternator, if the battery is older that 2 yrs old bin it and get a banner battery, around £25 + vat from a decent factors
