Default Wheel sizes?

Got a set of 16" team dynamics on me RST. They have a 195/40 tyre on but its is a bit stretched. I think I could get away with fitting a 205/40 but I dont know about clearance? (16" with a 40 profile is the same diameter as a std rs wheel)

Does anybody have a 205 width wheel on there rst? any issues. The car is lowered 25mm. cheers.

Yeah? I think it should be as it was lowered 60mm on these 195's and didnt scrub. So although Im gonna have a bit more width ive got that 40mm of travel on my side!

Best to get a few seconds from folks though as i dont wanna splash out on 4 new shoes and then get that awful sound from my arches! lol

I run 17x8 with a 205/40/17 tyre and they slightly catch the back arches but I havent trimmed them yet. Might have something to do with the 8j rim though.

Any pictures of 205/45/16?
I'm finding it hard to get my hands on a good set of 204/40/16's. I suppose its a bit of an odd size.
