Default Rear, right side brake not working - ST170

The brake on the rear, right side brake is not working on my 52 reg ST170 - looks like the pads are not compressing to the disc at all.

I would suspect the caliper piston is either jammed or other reasons.

What is the best way to get this fixed? I would take it to a garage but I would suspect they'd charge me for a whole new caliper when a DIY fix would get it to work and cheaply.

But then I do not have the skills (and tools) to do this plus I daren't touch the brake system as it's the only thing that is stopping the car! So would need a local garage (Norwich/South Norfolk) who knows what they are doing - anyone know of one?

Thanks all.

Check the obvious, ie there is no air in that circuit etc but it is common for the rear caliper piston to seize up on these unfortunately, and i do not belive you can buy replacment pistons so its new caliper time. Although i have been told that Hi Spec maybe able to make you a custom piston. Its a strip down and re-build what ever way you look at it. I had the opposite, my rear caliper on one side was stuck half on, mine turned out to be a sticky handbrake cable but it cost me a set of pads and disks

As said almost defo the piston stuck, they can be reconned but new from L&R etc are not that much, my sapphy ones were around Ł35 + vat.
