Default Groaning sound when bringing up clutch..

When I lift the clutch to pull away in reverse or when I down change I sometimes get a groaning type sound from what I think is the clutch!
It has always done this even with my old engine, gearbox, flywheel, and clutch, so I'm a bit confused as to what it could be?!

I was thinking maybe an engine mount or something as these have not been changed when I have changed engines, etc. But it really does feel like it's the clutch?!

Has anyone else has this with AP Organic clutches?

Cheers!
Karl.

Mines does this also and ive also got a paddle clutch.

Doesnt sound nice at all to be honest and I think Twins description of two surfaces gripping each other sums up the sound mine makes.

My ap paddle clutches used to do it terrible, but tbh the organic one i have now isn't half as bad. As said it's the clutch 'grabbing' the flywheel.
