Crap intercooler...my options?
When i was young and stupid, i bought a xs power 500 cooler for my cos. i even got some std-500 pipes from roose to make the bloody thing fit lol
my problem is, as i am rebuilding her, i want to fit a decent quality cooler, that doesn't have to be hammered home into the front panel
however, no one seems to do a 500 piped version for reasonable money. would it make sense to buy a normal piped one, and weld on some 76 mm pipes? i don't want to scrap a pair of bloody expensive hoses, really

im looking at this also, ive got an airtec one on mine but will be fitting an rs500 inlet soon, was wondering weather to go to the expense of getting another cooler with rs500 size inlet and outlet or just find a hose with the two different size ends on it.will there be much restriction or is it nothing to worry about?
Give Richard Jones a call 07908006818, he made mine for me to fit the car at a sensible price.

Just get a airtec 70mm rs500 cooler, and get someone to make some new ends and weld on, won't cause any noticeable restriction, the guy I use can do this, even just the pipes if wanted complete with proper swaged ends if wanted, pm me.

I'll be going for a Radtec 500 cooler with the 76mm ends if my car ever makes it close to hitting the road again!!
Had a Radtec cooler with the normal size ends before and had good results with it, was reasonably priced and fitted well IMO.

Give us a shout/pm if needing any alloy pipes making, he also does all one off stuff, nothing too hard, too large or too small, in the last weeks or so he's gone from making complete exhaust for cars/bikes to crash bars for bikes, to(historic) F1 blade roll bars remaking every panel of the tub to new fuel tanks for same and just done a pair of new fuel tanks for a 1950's bently, does anything in alloy/steel, and is a genius, he's doing something to a ferrari gearbox at the mo, but didn't ask what.
