my visa's finally come through woohoo!!! so after i sell my house i'll be emmergrating to florida. i'm wanting to buy a lhd escos to export but remember reading somewhere on here that it might not be accepted stateside can anybody shed some light please?
That's correct, you will have to take a few and run through a crash testing program.
I'll look around for a link.
It may be different if you are taking one in as opposed to being a U.S citizen and trying to import one.

This one has been on U.S ebay a few times.
It's street legal in Oregon, not sure if Florida will accept it;

I read a thread on RSOC board some months ago from a US serviceman coming to UK then, when he returns to US take a escos with him, he did lots of research and as said above must be late ST and there was lots of other stuff to change/convert to pass US regs ,got to be easier to buy the one thats already over there ,1 of only a few apparently .....good luck

i'd rather buy a mint/decent one here or even europe for peace of mind as parts won't be easy to get hold of over there, plus you never buy something just cause it's over there especially something like a cosworth
