Default Which management????

My brother (little bram) has a s2 cvh running cosworth management which could do with being mapped but he is in two minds if he should spend £500+ getting it mapped or spend maybe a little bit more and buy another ecu such as omex, gotech and get that mapped instead.
Maybe even learn to mapp ourselves.
What do yous think?
Which management would we be able to get the best out of the car with?

It's really down to the mapper so either take it to someone experienced with Cossie which is the best/cheapest option, or fit whatever your chosen tuner is most familiar with.

tbh mate you may as well stick with what you have if it only needs tweeking,if you change you will have more than the £500 outlay + mapping etc....is it really worth it???

500 quid is a bit much imo. I doubt many people who do a little research would pay that much.

I'm not getting into a strung out tuner war debate over whos better etc, but Jano live maps Cossie managed cars for £200-£250.

My brother paid about £350 to have his Apexi equiped Subaru STI live mapped, so £500+ seems expencive to me. If it was a finely tuned, bespokely built high spec monster I could understand it, but I wouldn't have thought so much for an RS Turbo running CM?

Are you sure its a LIVE map and not what we call a CUSTOM map? Is it driven for hours on end and adjusted live as there are very few
people in the UK who have the hardware to map these antique systems now and last time I spoke to Jano he was the first to tell me he was not one of them.

Im pretty bone to this so excuse my ignorence lol. But Come to think of it the Apexi uses a handheld controler like a blue fin so that could be the case? I just assumed as it wasn't mapped on a rolling road it was "live mapped" you've probably forgot more on the subject i'll ever know.

The Apexi is easy, any tuner can do it that is why we all charge around the £300 mark for such systems as it requires no investment at all and limited skill compared to live mapping an OE system with an emulator.
