i sold a turbo for an s1 on ebay the other week,the buyer seen the pic and description and bought it,then when he received it he says its no use,he has an s2 and since this turbo is watercooled its no use.can you take the turbo apart and swap the cores easily to make it watercooled?also,it has a little play,nothing excessive,since i wouldnt refund him cos it was his mistake hes now saying it has far too much play and is useless,it does have play but the impeller isnt near touching the housing.a bit of play is normal isnt it and is usually taken up by the oil when there is oil pressure?

 

did you say it had play in it tho?

you can use it on a s2 but he'll have to either block off the top radiator water pipe or fit a s1 top hose without the turbo water pipe

 

yes,i said it had play and was for an s1,but i revised it later to say the turbo looked like new which it did and that wiped my previous description.
