Mk4 Escort Zetec
Well 1st post on the forums bin browsing for a while now.
Right ill get to it then. Currently own and love a mk4 convertible xr3 mfi.
but to behonest it just cuddnt cope with my right foot!
Then i read about ZVH, RST and straight zetec swaps. ZVH to me seems to much to go wrong. RST well i just dont do turbo's (im a supercharger guy) so left me with 1 more option the zetec.
Did alot of reading on this and apparently easy in out do abit of wiring until i got into it this failed to be true
I went down to my local car dealer and bought a monedo 2000 (v) 1.8 zetec with 60k miles bargain at £100
I got on with the hands on stuff destroying both cars ^^
So here i am with 2 engines on the floor. dropiing gearboxes of them both, and came across the flywheel and clutch, standard flywheel with an AP Racing clutch(Escort) i always had thorts it was a hard clutch. so removed both pressure plates to find the escort one bolted straight onto the monedo flywheel BONUS!!! then find the same with the gearbox, thinking to myself this is way to easy. (i did have to grind abit off the block to make room for the starter motor and RST drive shaft.
with the engine and box now in one peice im reading about sumps and water pumps and thinking why am i changin theses??
The mondeo down pipe is nea on the same as the escort so i leave that the the exhaust runs perfect. And with the external water pump i used the CVH alternator in the same place as the cvh the right above it mounted the zetec tensioner, belt is running the water pump the exact same was as it had AC / PAS whats the big dela with that? then i tried mounting the engine mount. everyone is saying chop the bottom lug off
looking at this myself this was not the case. due to this being a 2000 year zetec the block is diffeant in places!
Soo then im at a standstill how on earth do i mount this engine now. so i took the angle grinder to this mount and was left with well not much left but it now fitted with 1 bolt hole! now time to reweld sum little plates back on to make the mount fit the other holes! and this is were im up to now.
The other thing i was confused about everyone says the plastic manifold dosnt fit. i found it fits like a glove in my bay. there is a tiny clearance but it dosnt touch when engine is tilited back ie on throttle so im sticking with it.
My main concern is the wiring part which is my weak part. I have look up and down the forum people say its easy 2 realays 5 fuses, but thats about all it says. i did find one diagram which helped alot but the diagram for the monedo on autodata 2009 is quite confusing to me.
If any1 could help me on the wiring side i would be gratfull.
i have the entire monedeo wiring loom as that was my 1st theory swap everything. then looked at it on the floor and FOOK THAT! lol way too much wiring for my taste.
so i have ECU, Engine loom with the big conecting blow by the brake servo. and the entire mk4 loom all on the floor.
Thanks for looking and the help will be most apriciated

Forgot to mention, Engine number is RKB 1.8 might help due to ecu's having differant colour wires depending on ecu that i could figure out.
I have a really big question for you all too. Supercharge or not to supercharge? i have an eaton m45 sat in the worshop and its just calling to be put on the zetec.
And whats the best stand-alone managment system for the zetecs ive herd omex but would rather have a comment from you guys.
