im not a current active poster, ive noticed on a cold start it runs fine, 10 mins into my driving i stop at traffic lights or just stood running it kind of starts trying to cut out. and i notice theres is blue purple smoke i think oil comingup from the vents on the bonnet..... or while im driving i can smell fumes again oil fumes, i notice i keep gettin fresh oil on the rocker cover at the sides. today ive took the rocker gasket off and notice the gasket is ripped, is this my problem why its cutting out and oil fumes and a little smoke probly going onto manifold. kind regards

 

you would need to replace the gasket anyway pal, sounds like a good set up is needed

 

yea, ive changed it, left it running with new rocker cover and gasket. took it for a little drive it seems fine more responsive now too. it must of been sucking air into it aswell, im goin ZVH next month chorley street garage doing it for me
