I am in exactly same position and am looking at AVO Std height springs to with the Koni shocks I have, you probably will already find you have aftermarket shocks likely to be Koni so would just look at springs. Avo have great reviews as do Ahmed's.

The Chassis Dynamic springs aren't even on the same planet as Ahmeds, but you get what you pay for, so they are an acceptible cost / quality compromise . However, when the whole driving enjoyment is controlled by the suspension, I personally think it is stupid to save £60 in this area to get something so inferior (and I supply the CD springs as well, so it is not because I only supply Ahmed's springs).

The Ahmed springs have been specifically designed to work with the damping rates of the Konis, so should be matched to these if you want a perfect ride / comfort / handling compromise.

They lower the car by 10-15mm only (to reduce bump steer) and can be bought in either track spec or fast road spec. The track spec ones just come with stiffer rear springs.

Please note that they are CAR specific as well, as in Ahmed has designed springs to suit the Sierra, the Sapphire and the Escort and they are different poundage / spring length to suit each car - not just a generic "one spring fits all".

You can buy them from me, price is on my website in the suspension section .

Try and get a ride in a car with the springs dampers you are considering, I've had ahmed and avo/cd, no way would I say ahmed is any better, not for me, and that's the thing, what someone calls hard may be just right for another, hence there being no such thing as a perfect set up in everyones eyes, opinions vary a lot.
Either one is very competent/good to most people so try and get a ride as they are different.

Have you have Ahmed springs on Koni dampers and are you SURE they were Ahmed springs, as lots of people claim springs to be such (especially when they are selling a set ) and then when the people who have bought them have contacted me for verification and I have advised them on how to identify Ahmed's springs, it turns out they are nothing of the sort ?

I run Track spec Ahmed springs and Konis and i really do like this set up. Very good all round set up imo that wont shake your teeth out when you go over pebble in the road.

I had CD springs in before and the ride is better with the Ahmed set up but also feels more composed when cornering hard.

Once you have tried the Ahmed springs, as per post 11, there is no going back to CD . Until you have tried, you don't know what you're missing .

I purchased Konis and Ahmed springs off Mike R last summer, awesome set up.I have had chassis dynamics springs in the past and quite honestly found them horrific compared the the Bayjoo spec springs.
Thanks.Lee.
