As per the title:

When i disconnect the ISCV the revs drop to normal level.

Quick question though, what sort of damage would be caused if i were to drive with the iscv disconnected?

 

ISCV needs cleaning + lubing with brake fluid or a thin oil, if you do disconnect will do no harm at all, will need to compensate with throttle for cold starts for a short while, it should be seen as a temporary measure until you can fix it.
