i have got it perfect once which showed 0 - 60 in 3.4 seconds on my g-tech. i need more practise to be consistent though, vids are just a laugh on a sunday afternoon

It looks very tame..... and slow. Obviously thats not the case but it takes some hellish power to make a skyline look/sound like its properly going, they take/deal with the power really well. Does it drive nice..... as in does it feel like its shifting on a bit or is it so solid it blunts the feeling of performance/speed?

 

im not ringing its neck mate i was just pissing about and thought id get a vid. im practising getting off the line and trying to keep wheelspin to a minimum.

 

its the quickest feeling car ive ever had. my missus asked me why it seemed faster when she was watching and filming me compared to watching the video, but i didnt have an answer for her.

im happy with it it plants me in the seat

tyres are still 32 all round, rear is pretty hard as you can see she doesnt squat much. and im launching at around 4 - 5k in the vids.
im feathering the clutch though im not just banging it in.

tbh looking at the vids again and some pod vids on youtube its definiteley decieving making quick cars appear slow.

 

im gonna measure how far past the hump in the road a 1/4 mile is on the second vid later.

well ive measured the road and the brow of the hump i pass im well into 3rd gear and its 170 metres so not even upto the 1/8 mile mark. a 1/4 mile is further than i thought it was.

 

2 pics i took. the yellow stake is 1/4 mile standing looking back at the start, other pic ive put a stick in and looking down the way i ran.

thanks. its surprising the difference a few small touches make, tbh i dont really like the look of bog standard 32 gtrs nasty grill, crappy wheels sunk right into the arches etc.

id try nailing it off the line ,hold it on hand brake slip clutch a bit to take up the slack then floor it the skyline box is supposed to be bullet proof so should be ok

thanks. as you can see that wasnt a particularly aggresive launch yet im still almost at the top of third gear by 1/8 mile mark.

 

skylines do launch very well, hopefully my escos will launch like them aswell lol

but my mates old skyline fuk me 600 ish bhp 7k dropped the clutch, side stepped and gripped, ive never been ina car that launches so hard and gets grip so quick than a skyline

 

id defo need some 888s to drop the clutch at 6k plus, my falken 452s will shit themselves

 

There are few things i watch time and time again on youtube for the sound alone.. One is a scania v8, the other is the second car in this vid. I remember stavros saying it was a piece of piss to build one like this, as he does.
