Default 1/18 Focus WIP possibly Evo powered....

Right, I bought one of these from TK Maxx about 3 years ago for a tenner, had it on display as it was for a year or so......

Got bored one day so I smoothed some of the details off, painted the car silver, the wheels black and the cage yellow

Today I got bored again so I started modding, I had a 1/18 Jada Evo7 that was damaged so I salvaged some bits off that to evolve the Focus into something new!!

Going for a street/show look rather than the WRC it started as, think big Racing Harts, modified smoothed front bumper, smoothed details, dirty big dustbin hanging out the back, chopped rear bumper etc etc

Partially stripped:

Stanced:

Chopped rear bumper:

Cage at start:

Modified so its more of a road cage than multipoint motorsport spec, basically I just chopped a few bars out lol

Still deciding whether to use the original engine or use the 4G63 Evo7 engine I pre modified?

Well that will do for today I think

Well yesterday it got paint strippered!

I then butchered the chassis to fit a larger suited exhaust which I think suits the rear bumper more...

Will have to dab someadhesive on it as well as the existing screw so it sits perfect, i'll do this on the final build up.

And now stripped!!

Next plans are to chop the rear turrets so I can fit the wheels in the arches and also to start with the filler for its new styling!

Oh and I found out the the Jada Evo I broke has a very similar sized front end to the Focus, the bonnet is the same width as the wings etc

The next project may be another Focus but with a E7 front end lol

I did think that too but didnt want to leave no place to fit a plate in, I suppose I could stick one to the bumper but then I find they look like an after thought like some 1:1 cars....

Suppose I could always look into making a recess and fitting that into the bumper
