Default Flow chart to diagnose misfires

There are so many "I have a mis-fire" posts about Cossies and so many causes of mis-fires. Has anybody ever considered building a flow chart with all the causes and effects and possible things to check?

It strikes me that between us we could create a simple chart that allows for any fault to be found in a logical order:

I have a misfire
Is it on boost or at low revs or all through the revs
If it's on boost check the following items in the following order
etc etc

People regularly fit loads of new bits - engine sensors, fuel filters, etc without curing the problem but it must be possible to diagnose exactly where the problem lies with a logical process. I ended up going with a new ECU and loom for reliability.

Any thoughts? Is it worth trying to do this collectively?

Here's a pretty nice flow chart for misfire diagnosis:

Unfortunately its german, but you get the idea behind it.
