Default 2.9 v6 conversion

Hi guys

I'm thinking of building a project and dropping a 2.9 cosworth v6 24valve into my sierra. Mods to the engine will only be exhaust and a remap. What power can I expect from this realistically?

Thanks

I never bothered getting mine remapped and that had a stainless exhaust and a air filter, made 217bhp

Thought it would be around that figure. Should be enough to start off with.

I'm planning on turbocharging it at a later date aswell, whats the max I can run on standard internals?

myn made 220 at fly with a chip. emerald told me with a remap, vauxhall injectors and tubulars u can get 300bhp but realistically i would imagine 270bhp.
the 24v is a good engine, super super reliable, sound ace and look good (y)

Is this the Cologne V6 engine, right?
I am thinking about putting a Duratec 2.5 V6 in an MK5 Escort. But that is another story. Good luck m8!

get the engine in first, then you can worry about what you want to do with it in regards to exhaust etc afterwards

standard internals are ok up to the red line, continued thrashing above that tends to flex the block too much and pull the bearings out
