my mated had a bit of bad luck the other night and binned his mint vectra gsi,,but hes saw the light and bought a gold mk3 16 ghia which is running a zetec and carbs (allegedly r6 carbs),but hes got no idea about the car and we were just wondering if there is a stamp or casting on the block that would tell us what size engine it is???

does anyone on here no of the car?its a 5 door y plate in gold from the aberdeenshire area

 

On the plus side, the cash he gets back on the Vectra should see him with a Magic Tree air freshner for his new project.

Stuck a 2 litre silvertop in a XR2 but not sure about castings etc on it as dimensionally I beleive it's the same as the 1600/1800 unit, might be wrong though

ive heard about the car but never seen it, got any pictures, a mate said it was a decent thing like??

 

never saw it about myself till he got it but it seems ok,needs a wee bit o tlc but nothing major for a y plate escort at all and its got a few good bits n pieces on it,i have got pics but my phone is playing up but i will get some up asap
