Default Keeping polished aluminium clean

I got a polishing kit for my rocker cover and dizzy housing, thinking it would be a cheap alternative to chrome plating, and it was for 30 quid and got good results, trouble is keeping it clean is a fooking nightmare, and this white crusty shit is starting to form in small patches

So i thought that some g3 would buff it out, tryed that it it leaves a really dull coating on the metal that takes for ever to rub out, so then tryed spraying some wd40 over it and it just leaves it all steaky as hell

Is there any product that removes all the shit, thinking im better of just getting them chrome plated tbh
