You didnt notice your rebound was that off till you hit a jump!?

What frame are you riding? I dont think you could have hit your face off a worse stem either, i have a straight line too and its bloody sharp, not looking forward to hitting my chest off it. (my face will be fine as im not silly enough to ride without the full face on )

ahah coz all i was doing was riding down the road just jumped on the bike and went down my hill and the jumps at the bottom of the hill :/ the slitest turn of it might not seem much diffo on the flat but when you hit somthing big it changes the bike altogether

totally going to weir my troylee 24/7 now :L lol lesson well learned !

and its a custom built orange 224 i didnt like the feel of the small fram so got one made for my size :P

ouch. yep if you have a full face wear it is my motto.

years ago i was at delamere forest on the table tops, were easy but not easy to get from 3rd and clear the 4th. was a really hot summers day so took my full face of as i was taking it easy. needless to say i missed the landing ramp on the 3rd jump and landed in the middle of the copmression fron twheel first and face planed the 4th jump.

these jumps had been there for years, was hard as concrete and nocked me straight out for a good 15 secs!!

spent the night in hospital with concousion

Ouch! That stem looks pretty rugged, wouldn't wanna be smashing my face into that, sharp edges galore.

I don't use a full face helmet as I only do XC stuff and some tame DH, but seeing that has put a seed of doubt in my mind now!

Hope you get better and back out riding again soon bud

Had a simular smash on that set, broken nose ripped lower lip.

Is that the set which is on the far side of the forest over the stream past "No Brains" drop iirc?

oooooh, not bad.

i think no brains was a little further round pas the 4 cross track. the table tops were just up the hill next to the doubles. there was a down hill run tha started up there aswell and went down infront of the doubles and round a couple of burms and then a nice big jump.

this was at least 5 years ago though so may have changed alot since then.

i could never make the 4th one. had to go too slowly over the 3rd to land it properly and never had enough speed for the 4th. mybe a should have altered my gearing for a better birst of power in the compresstion lol.

oh those were the days

Bet thats fackin sore, wouldnt like to header that bar.

I've got a Raleigh Activator you could tart up a bit Dave? Not sure if you know, but the Activator range already comes with a pretty serious suspension set-up on the front. It'll probably just need a re-grease and you're good to go. Wouldn't want much for it either.... mates rates.

Cheers,
Grant

i do racing, so its either racing trousers when im actually racing or joggers when im training, and joggers when i go street/trailing as well i hate wearing jeans....no movement for bailing

i only wear the piss pot when im riding street or parks, ive seen to many accidents because people think there hard wearing no helmet

i wear body armour too when im racing far to much of a pansy to just go in a t-shirt and no helmet
