ive found a 2wd shell to re-shell mine,it has no engine,gearbox,loom,glass and interior,its low mileage unwelded good condition bonnet needs painting.what is it worth?

what would be the better option.
1.convert a 2wd shell for 4x4 running gear.
2.ditch all the 4x4 gear and go 2wd.

what parts wouldi need to collect if i change to 2wd?

 

are the chassis rails ok on the unwelded 2wd shell? personaly speaking i would use the original running gear on the 2wd shell , whats up with your car? Get the t5 2wd box and the rest of the running gear, xmembers , shafts etc im sure someone can explain in much more detail lol . Use your brakes and suspension shouldnt be too much of a prob matey

its only one small mod to change 2wd shell to except the 4x4 box mod on tunnel driver side ,if you look for sale section a fella selling his 4x4 bits as he converted his escort cossie to 2wd its quite a list mind diff beam crossmember shafts startermotor sump ect ...

 

my 4wd shell is rotten and im planning for a re-shell in the winter,my engine should produce more power than a mt75 can handle so there is more than 1 reason to swap.

any ideas on a price for the above mentioned shell?i know the fella selling will want top doller for it.

hard to put a price on a good shell, blackcos on here has a mint unstamped shell.think its 500 quid.
he also has a 4x4 flint grey rolling shell for 500 quid.
rust free shells are hard to find.

 

I've seen much worse than yours, shell wise, at least you have the facilities to repair easy enough.
