Anyone here watch his fight against St Pierre? What the fuck's this guy made of? Last time I watched UFC it was Hardy fighting, and I remember thinking then that it was great to have a good english fighter over there doing it. He was dominated on the ground by St Pierre tonight(no surprise), but what did surprise me was how tough Hardy is. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that... He just wouldn't tap! Fucking hard bastard. Lol.

Who else watched this? What were your thoughts?

 

Oh and by 'tonight' I meant the channel 5 rerun. Not sure when the actual fight was.

 

he's maybe double jointed.....although the look on his face might suggest otherwise !!

 

Fight was at UFC 111 a couple of weeks ago.

He is tough as nails! I couldn't believe he never tapped. 2/3 times he was in arm bars and stuff and looked in serious pain.

He's a good fighter.

 

completely outclassed, st is seriously good fighter,

but as said i really really cant believe the punishment hardy took, and he took it!

proper fair play to him, as the commentators said his arm would of probably snapped before he tapped out, serious pain threshold!

 

That armbar was bad, but the kimura after made me proper cringe, if his rotator cuff wasn't mashed I'll be suprised, crazy heart he showed in the fight...

Hardy had the power to KO GSP but he's not as good on the feet, turned out a master class but Hardy got mega respect for going 25mins, he'll be a top level welter I'm convinced now.

 

Me too. Thought it was only a matter of time before something gave! Don't think it would have made a difference if it had snapped, the guy is obviously willing to take it.

Yip, hope he continues to do well, good to have someone from the UK over there.

Dan was outclassed in every way shape and form by GSP. I just dont think there is anyone that can beat that man at the moment.

Dan will be a great fighter, but he should not have got the title shot so quickly, Dana is too keen on trying to get brit fighters through.

Dan needed to face people like Thiago Alves, Josh Koscheck and even Nick Diaz before getting the number 1 contender spot.

The talk of Silva dropping to 170 to fight GSP wont exactly make his pack his pants after this weekends performance by Silva. what a flipping farce.

 

No doubt Hardy was in mega pain and no doubt picked up a few niggles with some of those sub attempts but there was a few technical issues on GSP's behalf that prevented getting the tap.
