mk 3 TDCI changing rear pads and discs
Hi I need to change my rear brake pads and discs soon on my 2003 TDCI. Can anyone tell me if the pistons push back in or do they need to be turned as I have never changed them on a mondeo before.

they do but be carefull the offside is a left handed thread so so you wind it clockwise to get it back in, a normal sierra windback tool works fine on the nearside but on the offside won't so you need to push hard and persevere to get it back in

many thanks I can borrow a special tool of a mate but not sure if it'll work as it just pushes the piston back in. I need to find the tool that turns it, do you know if them winding cubes are any good
No mine is a saloon the fronts are no problem Its jst the rear have found a tool on ebay. Its a cube shape with different sides you can use. You use a standard socket wrench bt not sure if it will work and the seller is no help either
