Hi all,

Right i currently have a 4" outwardly rolled tip on my car, personally i think it looks pretty cool, but i am currently (trying) to restore the car and want it to look as 80's stock as possible, so its getting amber indicators, standard wheels and coloured back lights etcetc. But at the moment im not sure if the exhaust is the way to go....

Does any one have any pictures of different style back boxes/systems fitted? Would really help me decide, part of me thinks the 4" would still be cool on a standard looking car but hey....

I've got a 4" outward rolled one, but I'm not going standard, standard look, but would something like a 3or 3.5 outward rolled one look more standard but still keep performance ect? sorry no pic of this tho.

its an escort turbo mate, let it have the 4" pipe you have the power to back it up and they sound well naughty if a little loudespecially if your on a long run depends what your wanting really,as the smaller pipes are still raspy

 

i down sized from 4 to 3 inch outward rolled and think it looks much better.4 inch are better suited to cossies.IMO

 

plus it dont resonate as much.

 

i had a system years ago which was a s/s 2 half inch system with 2 half inch sraight cut box looked stock as ya wanted still sounded nice

 

You got to keep the 4" inch rob even on a bolt standard car they look cool, my red one was standard on the outside with just a 4 inch pipe

Still undecided, would like to make my mind up before i put it back on the car as i will be having what ever exhaust polished before hand.

Guess i just want it to fit it when the car is done, ignore the lights, wheels and badges in the pic etc. as are not going back on

This is my solution. 2.5" out. Maybe i will change different box in future. Car is pretty silent to drive easily. Not boyracer exhaust.

 

it looks ok or is it just me, depends what sound track you want, also if you want subtle

 

Not a fan of the outward rolled pipes so i got a 4" inward rolled magnex of a friend
